Size guide

Five minutes with a sheet of paper is worth more than any chart. Measure once, then read across.

Please measure before you order.

We cannot accept a return because a pair did not fit. Returns are limited to items that arrive damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, and we do not offer exchanges. Getting the size right before checkout is the only protection you have, which is why this page exists. The full terms are on our returns page.

Step one

How to measure your foot

You need a sheet of paper, a wall, a pen and a ruler or tape marked in centimetres.

  1. Stand on paper against a wall

Put a sheet of paper on a hard floor with one short edge against the wall. Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, weight on that foot.

  2. Mark your longest toe

Have someone mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe. That is not always the big toe. Keep the pen upright so the mark lands where the toe actually ends.

  3. Measure heel to mark

Measure from the wall edge of the paper to the mark, in centimetres. That number is your foot length, and it is the column that matters in the table below.

  4. Do both feet, use the larger

Most people have one foot a little longer than the other. Size to the bigger one.

  5. Measure at the end of the day

Feet swell over the course of a day. An evening measurement is closer to how a shoe will feel when you are actually wearing it.

  6. Wear the socks you plan to wear

Tights, bare feet and thick socks are not the same measurement. Use whatever you expect to have on with the shoes.

Step three

Between sizes and half sizes

We stock half sizes from 5.5 through 9.5, so you do not need to round your way to a whole number. Check the table before you assume you have to.

If your measurement falls between two rows, take the larger one. A shoe that is slightly long can be worn. A shoe that is slightly short cannot, and it is not a fault we can accept a return for.

If your two feet land on different rows, size to the larger foot for the same reason.

Style by style

Fit notes by style

General guidance only. Our pairs are imported and we do not have last measurements for individual styles, so we will not invent numbers we cannot stand behind.

Heels
A heel pushes your foot forward into the toe box, so length matters more than it does in a flat. If you are between rows, take the larger size rather than hoping it gives.
Flats
Flats sit closest to your measured length and tend to feel snug at first. There is no heel pitch to fight, so your measured size is usually the right one.
Boots
Boots are the pair most likely to be worn with a thicker sock, so measure in that sock. Shaft height and calf width vary by style and we do not publish those numbers, because we do not have them from the supplier.
Sneakers
Sneakers are often worn with more sock and more walking. If your measurement sits near the top of a row, the larger size is the safer pick.
Sandals
With an open toe you can see exactly where your foot lands, and going too large leaves your toes hanging over the front edge. Stay with your measured length.

Last thing

Still not sure?

Ask us before you order, not after. Send us your foot length in centimetres and the pair you are looking at, through the contact link in the footer, and we will tell you which row you land on. We would much rather answer that question than leave you with a pair you cannot wear.

To be completely clear: fit is not a covered return reason. Returns are limited to items that arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect, reported within 14 days of delivery. Read the returns policy before you check out.
